Security Shield
Our flagship ATM surround providing weather protection, enhanced security, and prominent brand display for drive-through and walk-up ATM locations.

Real security shield projects completed by our team.
The Security Shield is our flagship ATM surround: a fully finished enclosure that wraps a drive-through or walk-up ATM to give weather protection at the machine, clear brand identification at a distance, and a defined, well-lit space for the customer using it.
For financial institutions the surround does three jobs simultaneously. It shelters the customer and the machine's screen and keypad from sun and rain, which directly affects how usable the ATM is in a Gulf Coast summer. It carries brand identification at the point of transaction. And through illumination and open sightlines it contributes to the customer's sense of security, which is a substantial factor in whether a drive-through lane gets used after dark.
We build these alongside our sister company, Flite Banking Centers, which means the surround, its branding, and the equipment it houses are coordinated as a single package rather than procured separately. Every unit is designed, fabricated, and installed by Flite Signs from our Houston facility, with permit-ready drawings prepared before fabrication begins and a five-year warranty on completed work.

What to Consider
- Lane geometry drives the design
- Drive-through surrounds must suit vehicle approach angle, driver reach to the machine, and clearance for larger vehicles. These are measured on site before design.
- Lighting affects usage after dark
- A well-lit surround with clear sightlines measurably influences whether customers use a machine at night. Lighting is a functional specification here, not decoration.
- Screen glare and sun angle
- Orientation determines how much direct sun hits the screen. The canopy overhang should be sized for the actual orientation of the installation.
Commonly Used For
- Bank and credit union drive-through lanes
- Walk-up ATMs at branch exteriors
- Retail and convenience store ATM installations
- Standalone ATM sites
