Neon Signs

Classic and modern neon signage for eye-catching indoor and outdoor displays.

Neon Signs

Neon remains distinctive because nothing else looks quite like it. Glass tube bent by hand and charged with neon or argon produces a continuous, saturated line of light with a warmth and slight irregularity that LED imitations approximate but do not match. For bars, restaurants, salons, and any brand trading on character, that difference is the point.

Practically, most projects today fall into one of two camps. True glass neon is chosen where authenticity matters and the sign is a feature in its own right. LED neon — flexible polymer tube lit by diodes — is chosen where the look is wanted with lower power draw, greater durability, and easier servicing, particularly in reachable interior locations or where local code complicates high-voltage installations.

Both are legitimate choices and we fabricate both. Glass neon runs on a transformer at high voltage and needs protected mounting and careful handling; LED neon runs on low-voltage supplies and tolerates knocks far better. Every unit is designed, fabricated, and installed by Flite Signs from our Houston facility, with permit-ready drawings prepared before fabrication begins and a five-year warranty on completed work.

Key Features

  • Hand-bent glass tube in a wide colour range
  • LED neon alternative for durability and lower power draw
  • Interior feature signs and exterior storefront applications
  • Mounted to backing panels, raceways, or open-face
  • Dimming and switching options
  • Wired to UL standards and the National Electric Code

What to Consider

Glass versus LED
Choose glass when the authentic look is the product. Choose LED neon when the sign sits somewhere it will be bumped, needs to run long hours, or where servicing a transformer would be awkward.
Neon reads best against contrast
Against a dark wall or backing panel, neon is spectacular. Against a bright or busy background it loses much of its impact, so the mounting surface should be settled during design.
Interior use may still need approval
Window-facing interior neon is often treated as exterior signage by ordinance because it is read from the street. Worth confirming before fabrication.

Commonly Used For
